The City of Mont-Saint-Hilaire has been presenting the Créations-sur-le-champ Land art Mont-Saint-Hilaire event since 2007 and welcomes thousands of visitors every year?! A bold idea born of a collaboration between the Hilairemontese artistic director, Ms. Jérémie Boudreault, and the Recreation, Culture and Communications Department of the City of Mont-Saint-Hilaire.
Créations-sur-le-champ Land art Mont-Saint-Hilaire has become an essential cultural event that has taken root in this land of ours. This event is in the spirit of Land art which is to create from natural elements found on site and develops by allowing the nuance and complexity of the projects proposed by the guest artists to confront each other. Daring, innovating, thinking outside the box, creating from nature, these are on-the-spot creations. For the public, it is an opportunity to easily access art while taking a walk in the fall colors.
The invited artists brilliantly take up this challenge launched by the City, namely to create a work of art within five days. Inspired by the magnificent tableau formed by the fall colors of Mont Saint-Hilaire, the artists immerse themselves in their creative process and share it live with the public who come to admire their talent!

Suddenly in the middle of nature something is organized differently, there is a staging, branches draw a woman, a giant apple encloses a tree, blue apples are hanging from a tree, apple tree suckers and apples form pyramids, the grass grows and seizes the pine forest, apples float like champagne bubbles, the sheets of a book become veils, we are in the process of creation.
The participating professional artists accept the game of creating live, they are painters, filmmakers, sculptors, theater people, land artists, surprising and disarming, they challenge themselves and delight us.
