L’observatrice

Ephemeral sculpture by Jérémie Boudreault
Installed by the City of Mont-Saint-Hilaire at Domaine Ozias-Leduc from May 21 to June 21, 2020

L'observatrice, it's this little bird that comes daily to my feeder and has been watching me for a few months through my kitchen window.

L'observatrice from the top of her perch looking at me, she listens, stops eating; I take pictures, make videos, note, compare with other birds. Nope! But she watches me?

In this period of global pandemic, a new look is brewing, a look askance, a little biased, we feel it through the curtains during the daily walk, in the queues. The other, the others, are they carriers of the disease.

L'observatrice, it is the perspective of Patrice Roy, Dr. Carignan, that of Dr. Arruda, Mr. Legault, Mrs. McCann, s.e.s. columnists, journalists, WHO.

L'observatrice, it is the thousands of attendants who see, who breathe and sometimes fall in battle.

L'observatrice, it is suddenly time taking its time, which is in slow motion, the planet which seems to say Phew?, finally I breathe better.
